COURSE IN JOURNALISM

The Course in Journalism is a 10-month, full-time course, aimed to train budding journalists with an in-depth understanding of the field. Designed expertly by veteran journalists, the course caters to the ever-changing landscape of media, across platforms- print, broadcast and digital and is therefore rightly, one of India’s best course in journalism.

The flagship course strikes the perfect balance between theory and practical, application-based learning. With a keen focus on the principles and practices of journalism, students will also learn the art of reporting in both- print and broadcast, with clarity and brevity, as well as anchoring and editing, using some of the industry’s best equipment and softwares.

To create newsroom-ready journalists, students will learn the ins and outs of managing a newspaper- from story ideation, interviewing, reporting and even on-page editing with Adobe Indesign. With broadcast, on the other hand, students will learn to overcome the hurdle of facing the camera with anchoring- taught by some of the industry’s best; collecting bytes and editing - with Adobe Premiere Pro, and producing professional news bulletins.

Supervised and taught by some of Mumbai’s best journalists, students learn the tricks of the trade in class and are then sent out into the industry on internships in some of India’s best media houses like the Times of India, Economic Times, Mirror Now and even Star Sports.

Adapting to changing trends, is the hallmark of any diploma in journalism course in Mumbai. In keeping with the digitisation of news, the digital journalism aspect of the course supports both specialisations and provides a further edge when it comes to digital newsrooms, news websites and podcasting.
